DENTAL SERVICES
Dental Cleanings and Check-ups
We generally recommend dental cleanings every 6 months, but adjust that interval based on our patient's needs. After cleanings we provide exams to detect tooth decay and provide oral cancer screenings. We take x-rays according to the American Dental Association guidelines
Deep Cleanings
Sometimes our patients require cleanings that are more in depth. At Kincaid Dental Group we pride ourselves in our hygiene program. We strive to catch periodontal disease in its early stages and get our patients back into good periodontal health.
Bonding and Fillings
Whether due to a cavity or a fracture, fillings are used to restore form and function to a tooth. We provide tooth colored restorations that blend with the natural shade of your tooth.
Crowns
Sometimes crowns or "caps" are needed to restore a tooth. Crowns are placed when a large portion of the tooth is broken, or a filling is much too large to fix a tooth. Crowns take 2 appointments, typically about 3 weeks apart. During that time period a dental laboratory fabricates a crown specific to your tooth.
Bridges and Implants
Whether you're missing one or several teeth, bridges and implants are great ways to fill in the "gaps" where you used to have teeth.
Bridges are accomplished by crowning teeth on either side of the gap. These crowns are connected with a crown to fill in the space.
Implants restore a missing tooth by being placed surgically into the gap. The implant fuses directly to the bone. After healing, a tooth crown is placed directly on the implant.
Root Canal Therapy
A root canal is performed when a tooth has an infection or the cavity has reached the pulp of the tooth. A root canal takes the nerve and pulpal tissue out of the tooth and replaces it with a restoration. Root canals are a great way to prolong the life of a tooth.
Dentures
Dentures are removable appliances that can replace all your teeth or just a few missing teeth. Dentures can also be fabricated to snap on to implants and restore a more natural function.
Extractions
We understand that sometimes teeth break or are not restorable. We will do our best to remove these bad teeth and cure you of your tooth ache.
Invisalign
Invisalign offers a great way to straighten teeth without using traditional braces. Invisalign uses sets of clear aligners to gradually move and straighten teeth.
Veneers
Veneers are restorations, typically made of porcelain, that are placed on front teeth in order to give patients a more esthetic smile.
